About SDAM Alliance

The mission of the SDAM Alliance is to accelerate the adoption of AM in industrial sectors as means for a true on-demand manufacturing. That means industries can get the parts anytime, anywhere with the help of a certified and qualified global supplier network. Such networks should manage the complete end-to-end AM production, integrating all engineering and printing parties and their specific capacities, managing spare-parts orders and protecting intellectual property rights and assuring the quality needed to fulfil industry standards and certifications.

Achievements over the last 18 months

More than 120 Research Interviews and a series of Research Sessions in 2021 and Monthly Sessions in 2022 provided insights, ideas and common understanding how to solve the risks associated with data-enabled supply chains — thus enabling manufacturers to securely make and deliver on-demand 3D printed products. Anywhere. Anytime. As a result the project “What is the weakest link in data transfer in AM” has now been completed in addition to the announcement of the four new projects.
